The Gurnee studio is always clean and pride of ownership shows. The staff is AMAZING and always so helpful. I always feel ready to take on my day after a workout. Finally a workout place I’ve joined that I’m sticking with and actually enjoy going to work out. ♥️

I used to go to a regular gym that’s less than a minute from my house, but I canceled that membership because I kept finding excuses not to go. HotWorx is a 20-minute drive, and I still make the trip several times a week—because it’s just that worth it. The infrared workouts are next level, the facility is clean and inviting, and the 24/7 access makes it super convenient. If you’re serious about getting results and want to actually enjoy the process, HotWorx is 100% worth it.

1 /5 Rob Schenck: ** UPDATE: went to cancel and their agreement says to do that i have to give 60 days notice and have to pay 2 months upfront to even cancel. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! ****** My family have been members for about 8 months; and lately we can barely even find a new open slot. When sessions arent full, Ill book one with just me and my wife and some random, third woman will join. The worker replied " well the Saunas are made for 3 people... " And I mean maybe legally they are but my wife daughter and I barely fit without bumping into each other occasionally. I dont need that with strangers. If you like to pay money and not have any space or availability to work out, its a great place for you. I checked on my walk out; after finding a random third lady joined our yoga session, when I could cancel, and of course, they just renewed my account the day before. Im not looking to have a random person join me last minute in a sauna that comfortably fits 2 people. We pay for 3 memberships and with me and my wife and daughter a sauna feels cramped. And unless all 3 off us book together days in advance; any other member can ( and often will) join the room.. all thats left lately for the longer workouts is 11pm to 5am. Even last time I came at 11pm it was busy. Seems they are selling MORE memberships to cover the costs, than can comfortably fit in the saunas. We enjoyed while it lasted. But its too crowded for me.

5 /5 Breanna Tinder: I can not find enough great things to say about HOTWORX. I know it probably sounds cliche however they have changed my life. As a bigger girl, I tend to lack confidence and feel out of place in open gym settings. However the saunas are enclosed and only allow for 3 members at a time which makes me feel less defeated. I was also a bit fearful of the “24/7” access however I find myself more often than not at HOTWORX before the sun even comes up. I totally recommend HOTWORX to anyone and everyone!! Carol at the front has always been so kind and extremely welcoming from first enrolling me to now almost a month later, any questions I have she answers than judgement free and with a smile !!!

5 /5 Madina Moragne: After trying the free promo, it was a given that I’d become a member. Cycling in a Sauna, who’d have thought..It helped loosen my stiffed joints, and also helps me sleep better. I just recently joined so I’m so excited to try all their cool workouts. I love that it’s 24 hours, it helps with my crazy work schedule. The staff is always professional and polite, Carol who signed me up is Amazing!!! I highly recommend HOT WORX to everyone.

Madeline Thombs: If I could do zero stars I would. I have called over 20 times to speak to the Manager to cancel my membership. They always say “he’s not in, we’ll have him call you”. I have never received a call from him. I started asking when he would be in, they say “8-10” I come in, he is again not here and that he worked “5-3” that day. I ask when he will be here tomorrow and again they say “8-10”. What can you guess, just came in at 8:15 and he is working “10-8” today. If you cannot be a proper manager then train others to do cancellations. I have never seen some much unprofessional in my life…

Ryan Christopher: This gym has sufficient equipment and machines especially if your training is more designed towards bodybuilding. But if youre trying to deadlift, it might be difficult since all they have are the hex plates. Aside from that, Its a decent gym.

Everyone is friendly and supportive. Always keeping each other going. No matter how much we’re sweating our butts off, everybody is still cracking jokes and laughing. Great community to be a part of!
