1 /5 VILKS DOG: This is very dishonest law firm that lacks communication intentionally.
We initially hired Tom Wiseman to start probate on our fathers estate Dec. 7th of last year. There was very little communication with Tom after we gave him a 1500 dollar retainer. A month later we find out that Tom Wiseman took a job at the Champaign County public defenders office and he didnt even have the courtesy to inform us of him leaving the firm. That was extremely unprofessional.
We were then contacted by Liya and she informed us she would be taking over Toms cases. Every time we
called up there to speak with her we were told she was in court all day and was unable to take our call, the last time her secretary told us she was in court all day and the courthouse was closed because of weather conditions.
We then find another estate attorney and we asked for a partial refund because they only filed the estate with the courthouse which was a little more than 300 dollars and there is no way possible they had more than 2 billable hours so we figured we would get 600 to 700 dollars back. She then lied to us saying we would not receive anything back after all of her lies and unprofessionalism.
This is a very unethical law firm who has zero integrity!
