I visited this location last week, or I should say I attempted to. Three friends and I went with the intention of using their pool, one of us was a member and the rest of us purchased 3-day guest passes.
From the minute we walked in, the staff treated us with what can only be described as hostility. Two managers sitting behind the desk were giving us all the stank eye.
First and foremost, it says on their website that if you sign up for a pass, youre entitled to bring a guest. We were told that this was inaccurate and we all had to sign up for guest passes, which we complied with. Then, we were told that we either needed to undergo a 15 minute activation process or pay a $20 activation fee.
All of a sudden, their "internet is down" and they can no longer activate us and we are asked to pay the fee, which we refused because its listed nowhere on their website. Then began an interrogation of whether or not we were going to become members of the gym. All of a sudden, they also have this policy of not allowing folks to use their pass for the pool if they dont plan on becoming members. How would you even enforce that?
We ask to speak to the manager. One had conveniently disappeared, and the other was extremely rude and accused us of having an attitude simply for asking questions about their policies.
The way we were treated was honestly shocking. I dont know whether its because we looked like we dont have money or if its because some of us are all women of color, but we were very clearly profiled and discriminated against. Do not give this place your business!!
