1 /5 R C: I wish I could leave 0 stars. Huffman was a very incompetent lawyer. My husband used him for a family lawyer for two and a half years. I can count on my two hands how many times we actually spoke to Huffman, even during emergencies he was extremely hard to contact. He barely got anything done, dragging out the court process an excessive amount of time. And then drop my husband as a client as soon as he could, without any warning. We are just know finding out, over a year after he resigned as my husbands attorney, that he never properly filed the documents correctly with the judge. Putting us back 4 years of progress, which we now have to start over. I would never recommend him.

Office was very hard to reach,I only spoke to him once before the court date,I was heavily pregnant and living 3 hours away, repeatedly they where supposed to set up zoom but but never did,which I found out later would have been easy to do,they didnt care at all about me personally or advocating for me it was a very scary experience, also many typos and errors on there paperwork,lowest retainer for any lawyer in the area...

5 /5 Sisally Schick: Dan is a wonderful attorney! My second time having him represent me and I am truly happy with the outcome. He has a wonderful secretary as-well. I am truly grateful for the services provided. Wonderful personalities and wonderful communication from both Dan and Misty. I would recommend his services to anyone in need, especially regarding parenting/family/OP’s. I can’t possibly thank them both enough for how much they’ve helped me along the way. He is worth every penny that I paid. I will continue to have him represent me in the future if needed. I hope they see this and know how much they are appreciated!! HUGE thank you for BOTH of their time. You truly do deserve a higher rating, every experience is different but I’ve never had a bad one with this guy.

1 /5 Nicole Heier: Can I leave no stars? I never leave reviews we’ve had a family attorney for decades that has retired and needed to get our adult kids started. Do not choose this guy!! My sons Placed some $ down and couldn’t get a return call for months, never answered calls unless we called from a different phone number. Thank god we didn’t Pay it all. The only time this lawyer actually talked to him was once and he was very nice understanding and professional, trying to make the sale. One time in four months. Finally after going to Illinois Board. We got some finished Paperwork to sign and phone call from his office the first one. Miraculously the paper were done . Then they said they wouldn’t serve papers until we withdrew complaints and made a remaining payment plan.(Not happening) We weren’t happy thus far so we sought legal advice and we withdrew, asked for a receipt which this attorney had the nerve to charge an amount for having to respond to the Illinois Board in which his license is held. Even with that he did nothing and we were still entitled for a few hundred refund. The paralegal stated she couldn’t issue checks and it would be sent, still waiting 6 weeks later. However she could take our money. She was shady too. When our son and I went with him in the office she was professional and courteous . However the one time he went alone, another story. We are still working with the Board. People know your rights. We will not give up. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. An attorney should return your calls within a couple days. Even though we have to pay another attorney with a great reputation more. If this helps anyone from losing any money than we pay it forward. We have 3 witnesses to the events and Phone records of answered calls from number they didn’t know vs the ones they did. After reading all the other reviews, it’s a wonder he still has a license.

1 /5 Rebecca Johnson: He was hired to evict some tenants for nonpayment. they hadnt paid in about a year.He got them out but failed to even attempt to get a judgement against them. After over a year still nothing has been done and all my calls go unanswered. I only call about once a month or so, The last call I made i asked since you only did half the job do I get half the money back? no response on that even.
