2 /5 Abby Teaney: I just want to start off by saying I have never left a review before. Usually when I have a bad experience at a business I chalk it up to them having a bad day, ect. but I feel like my experience needs to be shared for any couple looking for something similar. My boyfriend and I went to Lee’s looking for a promise ring. We were greeted by a gentleman named Bruce, who asked what we were looking for. Once we answered that we were looking for promise rings, he laughed and said “we don’t have much of those.” Acting annoyed with our request. All we were looking for in particular was a sterling silver band, and the jeweler automatically starts showing us the cheapest options available (cubic zirconia, $40-$50 price range.) keep in mind our budget was never discussed. That in itself felt insulting, and what added to the insult was once me and my partner pointed out a ring, he said “that one is a bit above your price range, what you’re looking for.” We felt extremely unwelcome and discriminated against. If you don’t appear to have a lot of money on the outside and high class, be prepared to be treated less than and talked down to. Great selection for the size of the store, great prices as well. The ladies who work here were extremely polite and friendly, aside from the one gentleman.
Most definitely get more business if they didn’t judge a book by its cover.
It’s unfortunate.
