My auto premium jumped by double digits two years in a row, with the second year seeing a 36% in one term with no notice, no review, and no alternative quotes offered. I later learned that my account rep had left, yet no one informed me or introduced a replacement. When I reached out directly citing Virginia law that requires notice for increases over 25%, I received no response at all — not even an acknowledgment. That sealed my decision to move my policies to another agency. A broker’s job is to advocate for clients, proactively review renewals, and communicate changes. Sellers failed on all counts. If you value transparency, responsiveness, and having someone actually work on your behalf, I recommend looking elsewhere.
