12-2025 LWH Fitness in Find the Best Gym Near You: Top [5] Fitness Centers in Eureka, ILCity Fitness - Philadelphia Morgan Kreider: I have a corporate membership through Penn which is fairly priced. The performance+ membership does not seem worth it, but depends on your wants. I attend 2-4 classes/week. The instructors are welcoming, kind, & push you to strive for personal goals. There’s a great community feel to City Fitness. I wish there were more classes mid-day. Only thrive is available from 1pm-4pm on week days. Thrive is not included in memberships. The Fairmount location is beautiful, clean, & well kept. Shout out to Jane Mills’ power cycling & Maggie Ludwig’s energize & flow. They have quickly become my favorites ☺️
City Fitness - Philadelphia Steve Miller: Ive enjoyed this gym for many years, and they continue to make improvements and modernize the equipment. Ive also noticed that the staff goes out of their way to be kind and welcoming especially the last year or so. David in the office is great and has said hello and introduced other staff members. It makes a big difference in an environment that can be a little impersonal by nature. Glad to have a local business in the area. Only thing I wish they were open later on weekends.
City Fitness - Philadelphia Cassidy Leyendecker: I love City Fitness! I go to the East Market location and it’s the best part of my day. The people who work there are so kind and encouraging. They make me feel like a part of the community! I can’t recommend City Fitness enough. Shout out to Kai, Noah, and Emma for being the best morning crew!
Fusion Gyms - Philadelphia Myron Androshchuk: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I want to update my experience with Fusion Gym on Grant Avenue. Earlier, I had left a negative review because of an issue I was dealing with. However, after speaking with the team — especially the manager Kevin — everything was resolved quickly and professionally. I truly appreciate their help, and that’s why I removed my previous review.
Kevin went above and beyond to address all my concerns, and the entire staff was extremely friendly, respectful, and supportive. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and has a great atmosphere.
I’m genuinely thankful for their assistance, and I highly recommend Fusion Gym on Grant Avenue. They really care about their members.
City Fitness - Philadelphia D. Jones: 10 years strong with City Fitness. A friendly staff, modern equipment, and clean facilities and locker rooms. Theres no need to carry around a lock and towel to your workout. Theyre very responsive to reasonable request and feedback. This organization has great group fitness programs, great spin class music, and offer communal events during celebratory times. The best gym in Philadelphia is not an understatement.
Planet Fitness - Philadelphia Symair plays: My favorite gym , The staff are friendly and respectful the environment is nice the gym is well cleaned , best place to get a workout in definitely recommend this location
Planet Fitness - Philadelphia Erin Kelley: Located in the financial district, this gym can be a bit tricky to find. The address is clear, but the entrance isnt well marked—its on the second floor of a corporate high-rise, so look for the Citizens Bank ATM.
The layout feels a bit unusual, likely due to space constraints, but theyve managed to fit in a good selection of equipment. I was able to find everything I needed, and the street views from several spots are a nice bonus for people-watching.
All the equipment is in good shape, clean, and features personal entertainment systems. The members were all polite, and the front desk staff, Dennis and Maya, were both incredibly helpful and friendly.
The showers are large, though youll need to bring your own soap. Lockers require you to bring a lock, but they are available for purchase. A nice feature: the lockers in the main area have USB-A ports for charging your phone while you work out.
On a final note, I hope the brand will eventually add stand-alone squat racks, barbells, and heavier dumbbells and kettlebells. But for most people (and for me most of the time), the current setup is more than workable.
