Nico NiceWitIt: Absolutely beautiful gym! Family like environment, super clean equipment, and TONS of different machines! You won’t be disappointed! - Nic
    MTV FIT - Mt Vernon
Maverick Wagner: Great gym with solid equipment, a serious training atmosphere, and no fluff. I’d heard the owner had a reputation for being rude, but that hasn’t been true at all — he just runs a tight ship and cares about keeping the place legit. If you’re there to actually train, this is the spot.
    Planet Fitness - Mt Vernon
Aiden Nour: When I’m on the road, I never miss a chance to hit up this gym. I come here every day and it’s always a solid experience. It’s clean, never busy, the showers are top-notch, and the front desk staff is super welcoming. #NoDaysOff #TruckerFitness #Consistency
Fitness Court at Aquatic Zoo Water Park - Mt Vernon
King City Funxional Fitness Concepts - Mt Vernon
Rhonda G: HIIT classes, kickboxing, open gym with personal trainers available at all fitness levels. I hadnt exercised in a very long time and started classes 1 month ago. Wow! I can already feel and see a difference. Fellow class members and coaches or so encouraging and supportive.
    Anytime Fitness - Mt Vernon
Joey Godiska: This particular location was quite good. Compared to many other Anytime Fitness locations Ive been to, this was much cleaner and had newer than the average. Would be great if it had a dedicated deadlift area. There are no rowing ergs either.
    Nautilus Fitness Center - Alton
Scott Vernum: At first glance, this place is very nice. Nice equipment, friendly staff, plenty of classes. After a few trips you will see the true colors; unsupervised teenagers playing on the equipment, NO ONE RACK THEIR WEIGHTS, you’ll spend more time cleaning after others than your sets. Then there’s the egomaniacs, screaming and throwing weights, of course they cannot rerack their weights. It’s worse than babysitting. To top it off, the late fees are outrageous! If you’re paying $32/month and are a day late-$60. Absolutely ridiculous.
    Andys Athletics - Jerseyville
    Planet Fitness - Alton
Amy Monroe: Excellent staff, quality equipment, and the floors and locker rooms are always clean! I would have done 5 stars but some of the members take away from the experience. People take over the 30 minute circuit area and camp on machines, playing on their phones. I understand taking a moment in the general area to let your muscles rest, but I specifically prefer the express workout because it’s a great set up and fits my busy schedule. Also, I often watch sweat-soaked people use machines and walk away without cleaning them. Clearly they’ve never had a kid with ringworm or HFM disease. I always wipe my machine before I use it, but it’s just general gym etiquette to clean after yourself. Otherwise, the additional amenities for Black Card members are phenomenal and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I also love their community building programs, like offering free summer memberships for high school students and allowing folks to use showers after a tornado hit.
    JerseyFit - Jerseyville
Nic Main: Great gym. The owner Adam gets to know almost every single individual that walks through the door, taking the time to ask you each day how you are and what’s new. Great for any lifter - bodybuilder, powerlifter, strongman, or CrossFit. Wide array of lifters in the gym, makes it a great environment to get serious in. Highly recommend, can’t beat the price for 24/7 access either.
