Planet Fitness - Philadelphia
Planet Fitness
Last Poet: The bathrooms are the cleanest public pathrooms I have ever seen, the staff is super kind and I love this gym. My only complaints is that we need more smith machines, there is always a wait for those machines and we need the fridge to be stocked, there is never any protein milk or drinks in the fridge
LA Fitness - Bridgeville
LA Fitness
Courtney Caylor: Highly recommend LA Fitness Bridgeville just solely based upon their compassion and kindness. I am a mom of a soon to be Air Force Airman who needed help with a requirement for my son’s ship out. I spoke with Grace who was so kind and was able to assist us without batting an eye. She listened to what was needed and set my son up the same day. Thank you so much for having awesome employees!!
Iron City Elite Fitness and Performance - Pittsburgh
Annie Shaw: This is my 3rd week and I’m loving it. It is exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for something more structured than just going to the gym by myself and I’ve found it. There is a set routine each day and the group is small. My biggest class has been 6 people with most being fewer. So it’s almost like having a personal trainer cause the coaches keep an eye on you and help with form but without the cost of 1:1 training. All of the coaches have been pleasant and great. They were very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable. The burns can be a little intense but it’s a very positive environment and you are just encouraged to do your best.
Brick By Brick Training - Pittsburgh
Victoria Miller: no exaggeration at all coming here 2-3X a week has absolutely changed my life. i started with zero strength but Dillon has tailored workouts to my skill level and i have made consistent undeniable progress since i started 9 months ago. my schedule is unpredictable but the variety in class times and days make it so that i can always fit it in. everyone who comes is friendly and welcoming. it’s genuinely fun coming here!

Erms Playground - Bethlehem
Body Extreme Fitness Center - Quarryville
Amanda Sutton: I joined this gym last year. I would love if they would buy new cardio machines. The treadmills do not work well. I am fine with all the other equipment.
Main Line Health Fitness & Wellness Center - Glen Mills
Lauren Sweeney: I joined this gym for the pools, stayed for the cool classes, sauna, non-judgmental vibe, no videoing anywhere policy, very kind staff, and the best trainer ever (Emilianne P.) Look, I’m an old lady. I go to the gym to do old lady stuff, not listen to 100 blaring tvs, loud EDM, or be made fun of by college girls, which happened at another gym repeatedly in this area. MLHFC is old people and family friendly. Yes, the weight area on the first floor is a bit small but it has almost everything and is only crowded at the usual expected times. The variety of classes offered is great - I got to do all kinds of things I never did before - the ballet and pilates-inspired classes are especially amazing, I enjoyed the bike classes, the weight and dance-inspired ones too, and the instructors have all been phenomenal. Plenty of treadmills, tons of machines, lots of accessories like balls bars and bands, they have a Jacob’s Ladder, and the stretching area is really useful for me. But for me, it’s the vibe of the place that led me to rejoin post-chemo. Gyms can be intimidating and that’s why I didn’t set foot in one for years after those nasty girls pointed and laughed at my fat a** trying to get in shape. MLHFC is filled with ages and bodies of all kind, including older people who may be in physical rehab. There’s no peacocking, no rude people flinging weights for views, everyone wears normal gym clothes, and it’s mostly just a bunch of normal suburban people of all ages and walks of life trying to feel healthy. Patrons are friendly and helpful but you can also just zone out with headphones alone and nobody bothers you. I am bald and kind of unpleasant looking right now and I don’t get a second glance there as compared to being out in public in other places. For me one of the best things about it is there’s an Urgent Care on the same floor!! I threw out my back in a class once and the staff helped me right down to UC. From reading other reviews, I know experiences differ but mine has been positive. I ended my membership when I was too sick to continue going, and it was super quick and easy. I do hear the issue with the personal training/unable to refund if you leave the gym. This happened to me too, was a big bummer and a financial OUCH for me at the time, but I gifted my remaining sessions to someone else through my trainer and I hope they got some joy and health from them. So if you are looking for a chill gym with a lot of amenities for the price (the two warmed pools, lap pool and sauna are worth the money alone for me), try it out!
