Staley Credit Union - Decatur
Staley Credit Union
Jamea Scott: I’ve been a loyal member of Staley Credit Union for over five years. When I first joined, it was because the branch was conveniently located near my home—but I stayed because of the incredible staff. Rachel always greeted my family by name, Abby was so kind to both me and my children, and Sherry was consistently warm, supportive, and encouraging—especially when I talked about wanting to save. Their genuine care made every visit feel personal and uplifting. Unfortunately, things have changed. With the new staff, I no longer feel welcomed. While the current Abbi is nice and has been pleasant to interact with, the rest of the team makes me feel uncomfortable and looked down on. It’s upsetting and honestly hurtful to feel this shift in energy and attitude. If it weren’t for the convenience of the location, I would have already closed all of our accounts. This used to be a place where I felt respected and seen. Now, I leave feeling judged and dismissed. I truly hope this feedback encourages the team to reflect on how they treat long-standing members—because customers notice, and it matters.
Jeff Boyer - COUNTRY Financial Representative - Mt Zion
Bunch of Dust Creations: Jeff has been an amazing agent to work with. He is always very informative and never hesitates to give you every option available to you. If you have a question he doesn’t have the answer to, he will figure it out for you no matter what. Jeff has always been available when needed and gets back in a timely manner when busy. He is one of the most personable people you will ever meet and makes you feel like a friend rather than a client. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking for new insurance or anyone looking to make a change!

Dansig Insurance Risk Advisors - Decatur
Tony Whetsell: As a customer I like talking to a real person-no automated calling where one must press four or five buttons to speak with a person. I know Teresa and have worked with her for my insurance needs for years. Im treated with respect and dignity by her . She periodically calls with rates and coverages. That kind of service one often does not get these days.

Hickory Point Bank & Trust - Decatur
Steven Luker: Outragous checking account service fees and very poor customer service from Cherie Swain of Forsyth, IL, Teller; Judy Lourash, Personal Banker and James "Jim" E. Peckert, President. Hickory Point Bank charged me $91 in checking account service fees from April, 2013 to April 2014. The Bank refused to issue me any refund. I sued Hickory Point Bank & Trust in Macon County Circuit Court because the checking account was only a few dollars below the minimum required balance, I was erroneously given wrong information about the minimum checking balance by a teller from Hickory Point Bank. I personally appeared and wrote a $100 counter check and Ms. Cherie Swain failed to inform me of a possible account service fee at that time. In court, the bank failed to provide proof that the checking account fee had changed any from the original agreement. Bank statement provided by bank claimed $3 fee instead of $7/month fee I was charged. My advice is not to do business with Hickory Point Bank. See Steven Luker v. Hickory Point Bank, Macon County Small Claims Court, Case #2014-SC-737.
