Campanella & Povolish, P.C. Attorneys at Law - Carterville Ruth Idzik: I had an incredibly poor experience with retaining Winter Campanella in my divorce. I paid $250 for a consultation, had a great conversation with her so hired her the next day with a $3,000 retainer. She then completely ghosted me for the next 30 days. I called her office at least half a dozen times and her secretary just kept telling me over and over again that she would call me back. But she never did. She also never responded to emails, and in the process of her completely ignoring me I was then served with divorce papers that she should have known about because apparently they were filed the day before I paid her retainer. She did not do her due diligence, she is completely unprofessional, and I would warn anyone away from hiring her.
After informing her through email to immediately stop any work on my case and to call me she finally did. She actually insisted this was all her secretarys fault, and she had no idea I was ever trying to contact her. She agreed to refund my full retainer thankfully, but has completely wasted my time and put me at a disadvantage in my case.
