Scott Beck A very nice church. The pastor is very good, and he is definitely called by God. You wont hear anything heretical here. Its a good place to worship and to honor and partake in the Lords Supper. The only thing someone might not appreciate is that only a portion of the congregation are welcoming. I dont think they mean to be, just maybe not as outgoing as a lot of people are. Its probably just a generational thing as most who go here are seniors. Some are very outgoing, and you will be met when you come in with a smile, a handshake, a church bulletin, and a warm greeting. I have been many times and expect to attend many more.

But they also host "The Closet" where they have free shopping days of gently used clothing, and once a year before Christmas they give away toys for the families who need assistance making sure their children have a good Christmas! I love it, such an amazing and generous thing

This Spring they had a Couples Group and went through the Love & Respect book together. A great church for everyone! Its evident that everyone loves Jesus there as they show it through their actions when they love on everyone who walks in the door!

Joshua Alan Lutz Today I attended a celebration of life service for James Staff. It was well attended and very encouraging. Pastor Tom Goodell spoke thoughtfully with timely and comforting words. The music was beautiful, and overall, the congregation was very hospitable. A Church is first and foremost made up of people, but it doesnt hurt to worship in a beautiful building. The facility is quite impressive, with many large stained glass windows and sturdy woodwork throughout the Church. Im very grateful for this family of faith, and I wish them well in the future. Worth checking out if youre in Vandalia looking for a Church to visit!
