Melinda Guest Have been looking for a new church since moving to the area years ago, NH was the first church weve found that fills that need in our lives. Everyone has been so welcoming, the church band is amazing, and you can feel the Holy Spirit fill the sanctuary every Sunday. It took a while to find it, but weve found our church home. Praise the Lord

Duncan Burnham I very much respect and admire this church and its mission to help the local homeless community. So many of us turn a blind eye to their plight and focus on our wallets instead but this church, its various ministers (especially Pastor Charlie) live to serve and help those in need with more than mere handouts. I am not sure how to do it but this church is the one to give donations to!

Cassandra Avila I’m so grateful that we found St. Mary’s when we moved here back in 2008. The parish and the school have been absolutely wonderful and I knew it was home the within the first mass I attended. I cried during mass because I felt Father Greg was speaking directly to me during that first mass I attended and I knew I had been called home. I called my husband right after mass (who was in Indiana) and I told him I found our perish (prior to St. Mary’s I had fallen out of attendance at my previous parish for several reasons). We have attended since and our kids attend St. Mary’s school. I cannot express enough how thankful we are for the parish and school. Wonderful!

Kerry Coyne Intersting church layout. It has a wide middle aisle then pews on each side but each pew only hold 5 adults comfortably or 6 smaller adults. Then there is another smaller aisle on each side then more pews about same size or a little smaller. It also has a balcony for seating. We went for the Easter vigil. Church does not appear to have much ventalation or cooling. Even though it was mid 50s outside it was very warm inside to the point of sweating. The actual vigil mass was really nice. Their choir was fantastic. Took us about 2.5 hours and they had 3 get baptised not sure how many more made first communion but had 17 get confirmed. That added to the time. When they did candlelight portion and had all lights out the candles definately lit up and place.

Jill Baker Before I started coming to Victory Christian Center, I had some serious questions about grace and law from television messages I had heard. Even though these messages made sense to me, I needed clarification from a local pastor. Pastor Ed took his personal time one afternoon to speak with me over the phone and answered my questions. I have been a Christian for most of my life but my questioning with this new knowledge had me doubting. Victorys motto is reaching the lost and the found and I am so grateful they help the found. I would be so very lost. I started bringing my teenage son because he had questions about Holy Spirit that he could only get answered through his experience at Victory. The presence of God can truly be felt at Victory. I see people accepting Jesus as their Savior because they really feel and can know a living, tangible God through the worship and the teaching from Gods Word at Victory Christian Center. I have known many of the leaders for years and they truly reflect the love of Jesus everyday.

Michael Wolf I feel compelled to tell my story here to help visitors understand Holy Trinity. I was the organist/pianist at Holy Trinity for 18 years (2006–Sept. 2024), coordinating services with the choir, as well as brass and string ensembles for major holidays. I absolutely loved the position. I even was an ardent supporter of the “Save Holy Trinity” group last year. In September, one of the parishioners who is also a Eucharistic minister, denied me communion publicly, without warning and in front of the choir. The priest, Fr. Loftus told me I needed to choose between my husband of 12 years or the church - or I would never receive communion again. How many people experience that type of decision at their church? If you are LGBT or concerned about marginalizing LGBT people further I would avoid this place. This situation has affected me deeply as a lifelong Catholic and will probably be a lifelong hurt in my heart. As far as I know I was the only person targeted, solely because I’m LGBT with a family. However, an injustice on one is an injustice on all. It is hard to know where the line will be drawn and who could be targeted next. Despite the official church using Holy Communion as a weapon of exclusion, there are many wonderful parishioners at Holy Trinity whom I care for deeply and who realize that the true followers of Christ do not abandon nor exclude members of their community. “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy. You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:26-27

David Jones Great combo of bigger church resources with smaller church intimacy. Sermons are very practical. Attendees are friendly and come from diverse backgrounds. This church will support and challenge you. Weve searched many churches in Bloomington-Normal before settling on E-Free. 2020 Update: Sadly, we had to leave! The messages became too political. This was too much of a distraction. Hopefully he will (has?) return to the practical, Bible-centered preaching that attracted us in the first place. We loved the people and formed great relationships.
