5 /5 bee gun: Wow! Great atmosphere. Bread had an awesome texture. Spaghetti sauce was bold and basil-forward. Cannelloni Alfredo had the BEST garlic creamy sauce. Waitress was kind and attentive, crowd was quiet and polite. Ill be back! Slightly chilly in dining area, closed toe shoes or a jacket recommended.

4 /5 Dan Hogan: Very historic Southern Illinois Italian restaurant. Constantly a fine dining establishment over many years. Our dinners were very good. The bread sticks were not warmed as the warmer was not activated until later in the evening. My brother enjoys eating there weekly. We seldom miss an opportunity for their fine food when in the area. Once in the 1970s, after several days of local snow accumulation, we drove there from Nashville, IL, just to get out of our houses for a few hours... Ample off street parking at the rear of the building.

The charm: built in 1933, still has that old style. Beautifully built: classic, vintage, Italian-American restaurant. If youre within 30 minutes, Id recommend going out of the way to eat here.
