4 /5 Yolanda Nottingham: The shrimp n’ grits were yummy. The catfish could have been better the taste was off-not sure if it was the grease it was cooked in but the mac n’ cheese was flavorful. Will try them again. It helped that it was buy one get one on the shrimp n’ grits and catfish n’ grits on a Saturday at that. They were busy so no dine in. We did pick up.

5 /5 Rich Ray: Came here after our son Navy Bootcamp graduation at Great Lakes up the street from this joint. Everything in there is good!!!! Waitresses were very attentive and polite. The bar area is great while waiting for you food. Will definitely drive back to this place from Chicago Airport next time Im in the area.

4 /5 Magic Wish: This small bar/restaurant is near the GL Naval Station. It was one of the very few places open, too. Most of the other restaurants open after 4 PM or we’re not open on a Tuesday. It was very clean and inviting once you step inside. We did not know there were two sections in this place, as well. It appeared they had a back area where there is additional seating and with games. They had an interesting full menu with a lot of seafood. But even more unique was a special menu with Hibachi- style entrées and egg rolls that were amazingly delicious and out of this world!! Our group ordered these specials with either chicken, steak or shrimp because they were out of salmon. While our order took a little longer than a typical lunch, the reason for only 4 stars was the delay with the egg rolls and no sauces with our meal which was quickly remedied and everything was well worth the wait. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would! Our server was very efficient and friendly. Even the specialty drinks were refreshing! If we ever get to visit the area again, we would definitely go back. We recommend it!!
