1 /5 Lisa Isa: This used to be my favorite place in town, but unfortunately the service has gone downhill — it’s definitely not the place it once was. After a bad experience with the counter staff and an unreasonable wait time, I decided to give them another chance, thinking maybe they were understaffed. However, two back-to-back negative experiences were enough for me to take my business elsewhere.
I’m Latina, so this isn’t coming from a place of bias — but if someone is taking customer orders, they should at least be pleasant. That was not the case. I had called in my order while I was in Sycamore. Once I arrived, I was told it wasn’t ready yet and was given a buzzer. A walk-in customer came in, ordered the same item, and their buzzer went off before mine.
I politely went to the counter to ask about my order since I had called ahead. She turned to the cook to ask, and it turns out my food had been sitting on the counter the entire time I was waiting. I was already frustrated, but instead of apologizing, she handed me my order with attitude — as if I was the one inconveniencing her.
After two similar experiences, I can’t recommend this place anymore and won’t be returning.
