4 /5 Hans Schmidt: Came with a parent early on a Saturday around 5pm. When we arrived we were one of the only 3 tables seated. Soon afterwards there wasn’t a seat to be had. So glad we went early. It seemed that there were only 2 servers, one of which was also hosting. That made for some slow service and some confusion, like seeming like you’re forgotten. But the server was super nice so it made up for it. I tried a seafood chowder to start. It was pretty good. But there was a pretty noticeable chip in my bowl. I would think a dishwasher would have caught that and discarded the bowl. Or if not maybe the server.
Then I got a vegetable lasagna that I liked also. But they put these two pieces of bread on the side that were all burned up. Again I would think the kitchen would have someone that looks at the dishes before they come out and makes sure everything looks okay, but who knows maybe that’s only something you see on the movies. Dad got the filet mignon.
For the geographical area, it’s pretty good. Especially when you consider most all everybody around there is usually eating is fried tenderloins, fried chicken, fried pickles and French fries, to get a little variety is good. And I am likely to try it again sometime.
