3 /5 Susan habbal: I was so excited to try Hearth. I have heard so many wonderful comments. Well, honestly I was so disappointed. First let me mention the good things. The service was Amazing. Our server was honestly the best in Peoria so far. The ambience was nice and comfortable. Now the important part the food. I honestly feel like our food was deliberately made poorly because, based on what I have heard Hearth is supposed to be the best restaurant in Peoria, also, there is a Chef and there is no real chef that would allow the food we received to leave the kitchen. The best part of the meal was the raw oysters, which is hard to mess up since they are raw on the half shell. The steaks my mom and I ordered was not made properly, they were so badly done I was barely able to cut it. It was so hard I could not chew mine. My mom got the ribeye and her was harder than mine. It was so hard she has to spit hers out because she could not chew it. I had a side of Mash, well, there was so much salt which made it uneatable. This is why I think this had to be deliberately done because no one else made any problems or complaints. Chefs taste before plating and the fact that our food was served to us the way it was speaks loud and clear. We are not important enough to deserve good food. This honestly was a slap in the face. $220 meal that we would not eat. Honestly sad. It is ok the service was Amazing!! I generally go to Chicago and the suburbs for good fine dining places. I was hoping this would be our new spot. Oh well!!

4 /5 Shawnae Brodkin: The service and ambiance were exactly what we were hoping for. Very friendly and attentive server. I had the duck and they recommended medium to medium rare. I prefer it cooked through so I sent it back to be cooked a little longer and then it was great. My husband had the lamb and a caesar salad and said both were great. Not pictured: crab cakes and creme brulèe... both were really good! Id go back for appetizers, wine, and dessert! Edited to add: they offered bread to other tables but when we realized it we were waiting for dessert.. I love bread but cant speak to what its like here since our waiter never mentioned it.

5 /5 Ernst Jacobsen: My wife and I were in Peoria for an appointment and decided to visit charming Peoria Heights. I just had one of the best sandwiches (and the best fries!) I’ve had in many years at the Hearth Restaurant. My wife enjoyed equally delicious salmon croquettes and greens. The inside is elegantly cozy, but as it was a beautiful day, we sat outside on their umbrella-lined street patio. Tim, our server, was friendly and attentive, the owner/manager was welcoming, and the food was reasonably priced and outstanding. Highly recommend!

5 /5 W. Michelle (Michelle): Finally, a place where you can get a variety of higher-end food, great service, and feel like its a place worthy of dressing up for. I havent been to a restaurant like this since I left Chicago. A great place to take a special someone or to have a nice anniversary dinner. It happened to be my birthday, and my daughters picked it out. I will return!
