Murrays Steakhouse - Vandalia (IL)

5 /5 Tim R: Cool place with good food. I was pleasantly surprised. Just a small town bar/restaurant, but arent those always the best? Oh yeah, and their steak fries, are real steak fries. I was super impressed with Vandalia overall. Kudos to the folks that put in the work to totally transform Vandalia.

5 /5 Mike Weinstein: When traveling, I avoid chains. I strive to go where the locals frequent. This is the place to be in Vandalia. Murrays is the perfect eclectic fusion of classy & hometown feel. Obviously welcoming all ages. The restaurant is just a short distance from the main highway I had the flaming ring burger with fries which was scrumptious & filling! I highly recommend giving this place a try!

5 /5 Bill Weaver: 10oz sirloin was great, ordered at medium, moist and well seasoned. Chicken Caesar salad was good. Seemed like the staff was under manned. December 30th, 6pm.

3 /5 Steve Bell: My wife and I were driving through town and stopped here. Her shrimp dinner was fine but my ribeye steak that was supposed to be medium-well(some pink) was so tough I could hardly cut it, let alone eat it, so I didnt. The server was very good, except for implying that it was my fault for ordering it medium-well. Not sure the cook knows what he/she is doing. Minus $34 ☹️
