5 /5 Ubunibi-Afia Short: We initially thought this place was closed. There were two cars and nothing that stood out other than the "Drive-thru is open" sign but we wanted to give our new local places a chance. Walking in, the place was surprisingly almost empty of customers,just a small family and a couple at the window seat. I had liver and onions and hubs had the 4 pc cod fish fry both VERY affordable AND DELICIOUS dinners came with a soup or salad, a side AND a dish of ice cream! I had the chicken and dumpling soup, with dumplings so light and fluffy they almost melt in your mouth! The waitress was bright and bubbly, not over the top, and we WILL be back!

4 /5 John Moore: Located near Lowden State Park in Oregon Illinois, this is a locally owned full service restaurant serving breakfast all day. Open 7 days a week serving home style breakfast, lunch,dinner in a cozy small town atmosphere. Since they serve Genuine Broaster Chicken I had the 4 piece tender meal with fries. The chicken was generous in size but lacked flavor. Thank goodness it came with your choice of dipping sauce. I wish the chicken would have had a rub to add more flavor. My wife had a breakfast dish which was very good but since she is gluten free she was unable to have the the toast or pancakes that came with it as they had no gluten free options . A good place to stop in for a quick meal if in the area.

5 /5 Julie Hadjiev: The onion rings were just fantastic, the best Ive ever had. They were definitely fresh, not premade frozen ones thrown in the fryer. The BLT wrap was great and just as expected. The creamy chicken with rice soup was kindof bland and a bit too creamy, if thats possible, but otherwise everything was great. Service was good and fast, and the bill was less than $25 for two people-that never happens these days. Well definitely go back if were in the area again.

1 /5 Desiree Apple: Absolute worst food i think I’ve ever eaten, or didn’t eat!!! I ordered the chicken as that’s what seems to be their “thing” from what others have posted. I didn’t get chicken nor did my husband, we got jerky!!! The crust on the chicken was disgusting and was barely there! And the meat underneath the crust was so incredibly dry that I could barely chew it. Honestly, it seemed like it was chicken that might’ve been prepared the day before and dumped in the fryer to be reheated. I tried a couple bites of the white meat, but It really was inedible. Coleslaw was disgusting as well and had a funky taste to it from the one bite I took Our waitress was so sweet and the place itself was OK. You can tell it has seen some wear and tear, but it appeared to be somewhat clean. However, with food like this, I know I won’t ever eat here again.

1 /5 Sydney Kuelling: service was terrible. waited 20 min for them to come take our order when there was only 4 other tables in there who all already had their food. one lady was just standing around doing nothing on her phone when you could visibly see us ready to order. then when we were 3 bites into our soup and salad and our entrees came out. i ordered jumbo shrimp and mash potatoes. the shrimp was burnt. i only had 2 pieces of shrimp and one bite of potatoes and those were also disgusting. seemed under cooked. not a single person in there asked us how our food was the entire time nor did they come check on us. i had to stop the server to get our refills on drinks. terrible service and terrible food. will not be coming back.
