The Grille - Mt Vernon (IL)

5 /5 Don Hall: I was a little skeptical about ordering a steak here but i was blown away with the taste and cooked to perfection. It was fantastic. My wife had fried chicken salad and she loved it. Servers were great and the wait on food was not very long. Great experience

5 /5 Sally Farrell: We were traveling and our hotel recommended The Grille so we decided to try for breakfast. I cant believe this place wasnt packed. It was absolutely delicious; great coffee and possibly the best eggs Ive ever had in a restaurant. It was spotless, reasonably priced and quiet. I would highly recommend trying it.

5 /5 Sophie Kershaw-Patilla: Our family stopped for a late lunch while passing through town. The reviews lured me in to give this a try. Outside was a little overgrown and some of the seating inside was a bit worn down, so I was initially leery. The decor is quaint, the service was fast and courteous, and the food hit the spot. We got prompt refills without having to ask, and food was prepared and delivered quite quickly. Our crew enjoyed the kids grilled cheese with applesauce, a julienne salad, and a gyro sandwich plate. Great portion sizes and flavor. We did not get dessert, but the display cakes and such looked phenomenal!

5 /5 Christina Hett: We stopped around 4pm for an early supper. We had hamburgers and a grilled chicken sandwich. Food was good but the desserts were just amazing! And the variety was vast. Nice, low key experience. You could tell we were among regular diners. The staff was well acquainted with most customers.

5 /5 Levi Spurlock: Great food, a whole selection of great desserts, and very reasonable on cost for the portions. We were in and out very quick too. I havent been disappointed here yet. My wife absolutely loves the French Dip and Seasoned fries. Steaks looked really good too.
