5 /5 Kalley Foster: My boyfriend and I stumbled across The Grove Tavern to grab a late lunch. We loved the decor, bringing a clean cozy cool vintage vibe. Callie was very friendly and attentive, our drinks were tasty & well done; the cocktails are on trend being $10+ but that’s pretty average for a nice dining experience. The music was actually spot on too, all around great atmosphere. I joked that we should have our reception there.
The food was *chef kiss* delicious without being overpriced. We ordered the focaccia & ricotta app which was light and refreshing, ribeye which was perfectly cooked and paired with a bed of delicious mashed potatoes, and asparagus. My boyfriend doesn’t even care for asparagus and he ate all of them with a smile on his face. I ordered the salmon which laid on a bed of rice, smothered in sauce, with roasted tomatoes and cooked spinach that paired perfectly. Roasted tomatoes are always questionable to me, but these perfectly complimented the rest of the dish.
Needless to say, this will our new go-to spot whenever we head over to Dekalb. Worth it for a nice date night or hang out with friends for a few cocktails!
