jim l I have been using their services for several Years now..,. These have included a complete new engine install, New 4wd Axle replacement, Brakes, and a Starter amongst other reg maintenance items such as AC Recharge and Oil changes on my Chevy Suburban Z71. The service was both Friendly, Understanding and Extremely Well priced. I will always return here as they really go the extra mile to make sure I am completely HAPPY. Besides the fact that they are a Local Neighborhood Business. Please ignore the Competitors Troll account Negative Posts on here as I find that such a Sad Tactic.If your business was a good one you wouldnt need to make fake accounts. Shaun Liu Actually the shops name is 31st Auto Repair. Thiss the best place for fixing my car, every one who work here is so nice and very professional. My car is Infiniti 2007 G35x, Ive been here 5 times, so after that, 31st auto repair has became the only one in Chicago place that I dont need to worry about if they are able to fix my car and the price of replacing parts are very reasonable. Jay and Kayla who are owners of the shop are the nicest person Ive ever met, they will take care your car as good as theirs.

Leon Tarpinian The guys at Nortown did another excellent job repairing my car for me. The price was very fair and it was done very quickly and in just one day. Highly exceptional mechanics that work on your car and really care. I highly recommend them and you should definitely see them for any automotive repair. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Mersadie Murray I had the best experience here with Orlando. I dropped my car off at noon on Saturday and had it back by noon on Sunday. When I dropped it off, Orlando took it for a test drive with me so I could point out the noise I was hearing. Then he showed me with a camera device exactly what was wrong and took the time to explain everything and give me a super reasonable quote. He also sent pictures of all the bad parts and good parts and explained why my brakes ran down faster than usual. The new brakes he installed are under warranty and I’m very happy with the work. Orlando is also a great guy with a good sense of humor.

Ashley Hardeman Orlando is awesome, honest and transparent. Orlando and his team resolved my car’s issue in a timely manner well and showed me the process of the repair along the way. Reasonable pricing. Would take my car back again for any service or issue.

Thom White Having taken cars to Chicago Auto Repair a few times over the years, Id previously found them to be professional and reliable. When I returned this week, I asked staff to check out "a noise" and change the oil. I soon received a text with documentation (notes and photos) from a thorough inspection along with their recommendations. This included a link which made approving the work I wanted done simple. When I picked up the car, everything was great. Thanks to Ken and the team for exceeding expectations.

Eli Diaz Horrible I took my car for a tune up oil change they charged me 1,600 dollars. Super over priced for everything! They said I needed manifold gaskets coils and none of it was changed. I went to another mechanic I ended up getting a whole new manifold because they broke my old one. They are a rip off and I do not recommend at all but if you go ask them to show you the new parts and old parts and check oil levels before you go.

Veronica Nerid I gave this auto shop a chance based on a high recommendation. Dropping off the vehicle was smooth, I called the same day to provide warranty info the person on the phone said they had it. I get a call maybe an hour or two later asking for the warranty info. I was told over the phone I had a timing chain issue. The vehicle did not have the check engine light on when I took it. I was advised my vehicle will take a week it took two. I called Monday they said my care will be ready Tuesday, Tuesday I receive a call that I need valve covers the day Im suppose to pick up the car. I declined the valve covers it was an additional 300 then spark plugs 120. They said ok your car will be ready Wednesday then Thursday then Friday finally Saturday came Labor day weekend. The car was "ready". Picked up paid test drove check engine light on airbag light on and car sounds worse then when I took it. I called to take it back but had a bad feeling, I will take it where I usually go its an hour drive but worth it. This experience was horrendous. The communication is terrible the way that I was treated was unacceptable. Save your time and money go to the dealership. May pay a bit more but you save yourself the hassle. I tried to support local shop, not worth it.

Anna Christoffel From the first call I immediately got the impression that the team is thorough and communicative. Everything I said was documented in detail and the scheduling process was thorough and reliable. My car had a major issue that wasnt obviously apparent and while we had to do multiple rounds of work, I have to say that I was impressed with the persistence and thoroughness. In the end the issue was resolved and my car was thoroughly tested to ensure that it was actually fixed. Future recommendations were made and I left the shop feeling confident in Erik and his team.

Rob Carlos My Auto Repair is a hidden gem in the neighborhood! Took my car in for a brake job and oil change — spent about $250. The crew was straight-up, no upselling, and got me in and out quick. They even offered me a ride home while they worked on it. Car’s been running smooth ever since. Definitely my go-to spot in the area now.

Pretty Dee While searching for a mechanic that does electrical work I found this GEM near me! Maritsza was very helpful from the start. Tomas resolved my electrical issue rather quickly when no one else was able to. Im happy Karla (my car) is back to normal! Thanks My Auto Repair!

roger arriola Had to get my brakes and rotors swapped on my Civic, and Rodriguez Auto Shop came through big time. The crew were straight-up pros—quick, honest, and didnt try to upsell me on stuff I didnt need. Dropped about $350, which is a steal around here. They had me in and out in no time. If youre in Chi-Town and need reliable work without the BS, this is the spot.

Gaia Landau-Williams I absolutely recommend them! They do great work and Ive always been pleased with the results Ive gotten. They also are very transparent about pricing and have gone out of their way to explain what work needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and how long I would realistically have to wait before it really becomes a priority. Theyve always worked within my budget and saved me money when compared to other places I could have gone, and often have thrown in additional repairs at no added cost. Everyone Ive met there is very trustworthy and friendly and has made taking my car in a much less stressful experience!

Kristin Ferguson I’d give them more than 5 starts if I could. On the hottest day of the summer, my car overheated and needed a tow. It was nearing their closing time, so they instructed me where to park and leave the keys. They diagnosed quickly, got the parts very fast, and had it done earlier than expected. They communicated every step of the way, and charged an extremely fair price. You can tell they are professionals who have been in the business a long time. I’ll come here for all future needs, and I recommend them a million times over!

Richard Lee Ive been coming to Grand for almost a decade, and I will not go anywhere else for my Audi and Subaru. This is by far the most competent and honest independent auto shop in the Chicagoland. They go above and beyond whats required and always are transparent with their communications. There are absolutely no surprises. And its amazing how well my cars drive after a little TLC from Grand Auto. They have a customer for life.

Dan Melissa was amazing! She kept me in the loop the whole time and made the process super easy. You can tell she really cares about the customers. The mechanics here aren’t just part changers. They actually know what they’re doing and take the time to do the job right. You don’t see that everywhere. They went above and beyond my car now drives better than it did when it was brand new.

We’ve replaced the struts, the suspension, the breaks, the air conditioning, the compressor AND IM ALWAYS IMPRESSED BY THE PRICE AND WORK QUALITY. I’ve sent three close friends here and they’ve all been very happy with the work and impressed by the price. Edgar is perfectly bilingual so don’t worry if you aren’t a Spanish speaker. I won’t go anywhere else in the city to fix my car. Highly recommend. For reference I got my oil pan fixed here for $300 while other shops asked for $1200 cause it has to be welded on for the Volvo. Legit. Don’t sleep on this place!

Gabriela Arismendi My SUV had a "Check Engine" light on and was shaking a little bit. I drove in and spoke to Antonio (the owner) who was super nice and patient in explaining to me what the problem was. A coil replacement and oil change later - I have my truck back as good as new. They do great work at a reasonable price, and their waiting room is clean with cable TV and magazines to pass the time! I highly recommend G & G Auto.

Alex Best shop in town to get a BAIID machine installed! They squeezed me in as the last job of the day when I called and were done quick! Best part is everything works good 4 months later! Also the best recalibration spot! They do it quick and have the best price in town!

Thomas Ortega We had been going here for a few years with no issues with basic oil changes. Recently, we had some transmission work done along with an oil change. We noticed after getting the vehicle serviced there was a leak coming from the bottom of the vehicle. We brought the vehicle back for repair and they "fixed" it at no additional charge. Unfortunately, they did not fix the leak. After three to four trips back and forth they were unable to identify and or fix the leak. We then brought it to a different repair shop and they provided us with the pictures of the sloppy patchwork with silicone on our transmission. In the other mechanics opinion, the work underneath the transmission and rear brakes was not done correctly and the heavy silicone was not the proper solution. While we recognize the vehicle was 10 years old. It was very evident that we did not have a leak prior to receiving service at E&J and afterwards it was a constant leak. Overall just a terrible service experience along with communication that often includes us having to call to get updates even once having the business close for the day without even providing an update on service. Just not the proper way to communicate with customers and a failure in servicing the vehicle. Would not recommend.

Leyla A Who ever works for the City walking around giving disabled Veterans tickets for having their front license plate on full display on the dash board but not officially screwed in to the front bumper.....VMB and I give you two thumbs up where the sun dont shine.........and ..........a fully mounted, brackets in place, affixed, perfectly centered and aligned front license plate! Thank you very much VMB for your assistance working with and treating a special needs customer with respect and for honoring a Veteran after this God forsaken City tried to bankrupt him with dumb $60 tickets that could have been avoided all along with two simple screws. Terry Casey I was traveling to Chicago for a quick day trip, when my car broke down. I ultimately got a tow to Midtown Auto Repair. The tow truck driver (AAA) recommended Midtown, which I am thankful for. Midtown is very clean, very busy and very well managed. Everyone I dealt with was attentive and helpful. Bryan, the Manager, is excellent. He kept me informed and made sure the car was running properly before I headed back home. I would recommend, and give Midtown Auto Repair a 10 out of 10.

Lis Wal Fantastic that they’re open Sundays. I think they did a good job on my suspension. No more creaky noises. Good efficient customer service. Not overly friendly but that’s not what I needed. Also they seem to give ppl a free car wash and interior cleaning with every service. Swanky.
