First Presbyterian Church - dixon - Dixon Justin Smith: If you are a young family reading this, find another Church. The building may appear traditional, but what you will find inside is something else entirely. You won’t find The Gospel taught here every Sunday, you will not find value in the sermons(there is no talk of God, instead this is replaced with whatever political gripe is the flavor of the week), and you most certainly won’t find any true “Reformed” theology being taught here. The Presbytery should deeply evaluate the teachings of this church. And if this way is in full support from the Presbytery, I sincerely ask that you all look to The Bible, as well as your book of confessions, to structure your service to be more accepting and inline with Christ’s teachings. I see congregations of other denominations growing by the day, this will not happen here as it bears no resemblance to those that I’ve seen grow. I will continue to pray for all of you here, and i hope one day that i can return to hear a proper Gospel reading and sermon, as this is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve been to.
