Lisa McCrea: This was an easy, short trail. Nice rock formations. A couple of places looked available for more "off the beaten path" hiking. Went with a group of kids, so didnt get to really take an extended amount of time exploring the area. Worth it!
Bonita Bear: After eating lunch at the Royal Buffet we drove to the Vermilion County Park Lake.
The weather was perfect and Lake View, was Incredible! What a hidden treasure to view! Absolutely, beautiful...I wish that I would have brought along my art supplies...inspires me to paint!
Next Time! :)
Miranda Kissling: The most beautiful spot in Danville! A birders paradise. Its great to visit year round and watch the environment change. The blooms in July are breathtaking!
Nikol Richards: They have actual veterans who give you tours. There is something more personal and more meaningful when you have someone who not only has studied war history, but also lived it! It took us about 1 1/2 hours, but we enjoyed every second of it.
Danielle Cozzola: I typically rate parks at 5 stars when I can, but this park seemed poorly managed. Garbage could be seen throughout my drive, and the sign postings were small and hard to read. I dont mind having to deal with bugs when adventuring out in the wild, BUT there were millions of GIANT horse flies here. I thought they were cicadas at first, that is how large they were. They were flying around my car and running into it during my entire drive through the park, so I didnt end up getting out of my car. It was disappointing. I dont know how they can fix this issue, but I dont think I could visit again without the fear of being attacked by these flies. It was like nothing Id ever experienced before!
Bobbi Fischer: My daughter adores the park and splash pad. We are grateful to have access to such a beautiful park and thankful for park staff that work bard to keep it clean for the kids. Our clinic, Luxe Lift Aesthetics & Wellness, is just across the street and we appreciate the scenic view!
Aaron (Emerald Way): Nice 9-hole disc golf course. Scenic for being a city course. First six holes loop along the parking lot, and theyre okay. Hills in play on a couple, water in play on a few, but fairly open. 7-9 across the bridge add welcome variety. Your biggest obstacle will be wind, if present.
