5 /5 John & Sylvia Phillips: Weve been attending CBC for about a year now. There are so many things we appreciate about it; the first is that it really feels like a community. Its not just a place to come and sit and hear a sermon once a week; everyone seems to be involved in some sort of ministry or giving--the congregation truly cares about others, and you have plenty of opportunities to serve and be served.
Everyone is kept updated on prayer requests.
Kids are welcomed either in the service or in the nursery.
CBC has been VERY supportive of us as a foster family and have been wonderful in helping meet our needs.
The teaching is solid, biblical, and unashamed, yet is full of grace. In every sermon we are reminded of the grace and mercy of God, reminded to extend grace to others, and still reminded to examine ourselves and surrender everything to God.
And Pastor Steve actually lives what he preaches. (Never, in any other church, has a pastor offered to personally take charge of my kids for a few minutes while I go up to play violin! :) And rarely will a pastor be the one setting up chairs before service or otherwise pitching in to help whenever needed. Pastors who are truly willing to serve their congregations, without neglecting their families, are few and far between, yet we do see that at CBC.)
We are so blessed to be part of CBC.
