5 /5 David N: Edgewood Baptist Church of Rock Island is a home away from home. God uses this Gospel based body of Christ to impart biblical truth that challenges growth and comforts the wayward sinner who needs the Lord. This is a church where truth and grace meet, where empathy for current hardships and the hope for the future are able to be validated at the same time. My wife and kids and I have been a part of this body for a few years now and we are glad we have found a place to call our church home. Additionally, Edgewood gives space to a ministry called Celebrate Recovery. The great thing is that theres a good number of those in the Edgewood body who serve at Celebrate Recovery. Celebrate Recovery is a program to help people with their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Anything you need healing for and hope for and freedom from, you can find that through the God found at Celebrate Recovery as well as through the second family youll gain through Celebrate Recovery of Edgewood. Because of God using Edgewood, my wife and I no longer lean towards the dangerous nature of progressive Christianity and because of God using Celebrate Recovery of Edgewood, our marriage is healing and we are healing from the childhoods we went through. God is so good to bring us to this body of believers, gathering together so we can grow, give, and go with the Gospel to our neighbors, our community, our state, our country and beyond.
