Faith Baptist Church SBC - Carrollton Seth Henson: I am a former member of this church. I left around 2020/21 and I am still being talked about today. I know this because myself (and a few friends) ended up on their prayer request list for “renewal of the holy spirit” even though I am much happier since I left!
The pastor’s sermons all lack depth and alway arrive at the same ending every week. Moreover the pastor can’t be wrong about anything and if he’s called out for it by other members, he still won’t say he’s wrong. They complain that young people don’t want to join, but then do nothing to make young people want to stay. Say they are accepting of all people but then make racist and homophobic remarks/sermons while social movements are happening (i.e. black lives matter protests, Obergefell vs. Hodges). I know that their are people my age that still attend and want to see change happen but the older members won’t let go of the reigns in the slightest.
