Diana Burdette: Contacted park district, discovered the ugly run off area is to be a rain garden. Long grass is growing in and its looking quite nice. The rain garden will look amazing once its fully in. New really innovative equipment, a splash pad, multi age range, a dodge ball court, great bathrooms, and picnic area. What a great addition to the community.
Tina Arteaga: We have been to many of the historical homes of Presidents and lanarks. The history you learn by visiting these landmarks is relevant. This home is really interesting because it came from a Montgomery Ward Catalog. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate about the home and Reagan as President. Donations are accepted no tickets needed
Amy Castillo: This is an amazing park! I love that it feels hidden and special. Itβs right on the river and the park department recently added kayaks for rent. There are shelters for gatherings and playgrounds for kids. The park is well maintained and easy to enjoy all year round!
Dave F: Very nice Veterans Memorial in Dixon. Has several military items displayed such as Tank, Helicopter, Fighter Jet, Ambulance. Some are painted on opposing sides to represent differant US military branchs.
Louis Steffen: Very well put together exhibits. Pioneers natives Reagan and Lincoln.
Free recommended donation of $5.
I would recommend about an hour spent.
David Page: Very neat place to visit. Lots of info and history of John Deere and his family. There is an archeological dig of his original black Smith shop and short video that is well made. Highlet recommend for an hour or 2 of family friendly fun
