Keracutz Family Salon - Effingham (IL)

1 /5 Cassie Switzer: Keracutz has gone downhill a lot, and Im not sure why. I used to love this salon and wouldnt go anywhere else!! Everyone is very nice, but consistency is just too spotty. I havent been happy with services here since Tera left. Ive been using Keracutz for 13 years and have gone to multiple stylists, but the service lately just keeps getting worse. I really wish things were different, but its safe to say I wont be coming here any longer.

5 /5 Emily Clark: This is my favorite salon. Ive been coming here for 6 or 7 years. I love the atmosphere. Complimentary drinks- beer, wine, water, coffee, soda. Generally get a few services done at a time so I cant speak to anyone looking to get in and get out quickly. Edit: years later, still going. Most recent before and after.

3 /5 Kevin L.: First time getting a haircut here and the person cutting my hair didnt seem to put any effort into properly completing my haircut. I had to come back in and point out the uneven blending on my sides and instantly saw the amount of effort changed and the precision put into the cut was drastically different. This place is ok at best, comparable to great clips, probably will not come back.

1 /5 Lydell Tucker: Zero stars if I could. I arrived showed her (Kera) a Pic of my brows that I penciled in and really liked also showed her several pics of brows she had done on people that look very similar to mine to make things even easier for her. SHE GLANCED AT THE PICS FOR LITERALLY 2 SECONDS. I said OK shes the pro. She doesnt need pics. During the entire procedure she kept giving me the mirror asking me what needed to be improved on. Where there needed to be more ink and so on. I didnt know what to tell her. Im not a pro here... I thought she was. She just couldnt seem to get my brows right. Not one time did she say let me see the pics again for guidance. I asked for ombre eyebrows. I didnt get those. I voiced a main concern of mine which is that one of my brows sits lower than the other. I asked if she could fix that. It wasnt fixed. Now I have an Inked brow that is permanently sitting lower that the other. At least before I could shave it off and pencil it in. I tried to reason with her and tell her things that are wrong after my brows healed but for every thing I mentioned wrong she had an excuse as to why it was wrong. I trusted her with my face and now I have to foundation out the parts of the brows that look bad. I spend more time on my brows now than I had to before letting her do them. I should have left when she kept giving me the mirror to help her and tell her what she needed to do. Not to mention the place looks under construction. If you visit after reading this and it still looks under construction..... I dont know. Im not exaggerating here. I have the brows to prove it.
