5 /5 Maribel Ziga: Love the atmosphere i get from the community. Ive been catholic since birth. I have come across a few priests i respected. But i was never able to connect with them. They were very serious. Since coming to Our Lady of Lourdes, the priests are amazing. They are warm, friendly, always smiling, always happy. Fr. Friedel and Fr. Trummer were the reasons i got involved more with the church and volunteered and enrolled my kids to religious education courses. I had done this in the past, but we were not sure how long we would stay living here and my kids were babies. Now that they are in school and we moved to Clinton, 25 min drive to church, we decided to keep driving to church here because we just love it so much. ❤️

1 /5 MEMA DANNEBERGER: My children attended this school for 2 years. The first year was good and the 2nd year was terrible. A new principal was hired for the 2nd year and she has a strong dislike for me and my kids. I say this because I believe in honesty and I want my kids to always be honest. I addressed several school problems with the principal and I believe it made her angry each time. I offered to help find solutions but she evidenty felt it was not needed. The principal wrote a letter to me and listed each childs name . She said due to the inability of establishing a cooperative relationship the children will not be enrolled to OLOL 2024 and beyond. There is no internet security and this was a battle the entire year. The bullying is not addressed in the school. A student told my daughter to go kill herself more than 2 occasions. I emailed the principal regarding this and I never recieved a response back. The principal rarely returned phone calls or emails. I had 2 out of 5 teachers that kept the grades current. It took some teachers 6 weeks to let you know your childs grade. The priest is aware of the out of control profanity. I asked the priest why a child gets a detention for not having a shirt tucked but if a child uses the f word they are not disciplined. He said he was a child once. This is just a very small piece of what I experienced. We were so excited to be a part of the catholic faith and it got squished right out of us. My middle girl says she prays for the priest and principal. She has a big heart and that is the way it should be.

5 /5 Mervyn Gonsalves: Lovely Church & lovely service when I lived in Decatur.Fr Rick a wonderful Pastor & very much available to his flock. Very helpful Staff. I loved being part of this Parish. The Parishioners very friendly too.

5 /5 Ryan Kehoe: This is a very good parish, there are a lot of wonderful people who take their Catholic faith seriously, if anyone is interested in finding a new parish this parish could help you and your family become better disciples of Jesus Christ.

5 /5 Joseph Stevens: Recently I had a Mass said for my Uncle, who was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes for 37 years. Fr. Rick did a wonderful job, and what made the Mass so special is that Fr. Rick remembered and appreciated they years of service my Uncle gave to OLL. After he retired in 1990, my Uncle served at weekday Mass for many years. Thank you Our Lady of Lourdes and Fr. Rick for making this Mass so special for me and my family!
