Ashley Smith: Fun place to take kids to do art classes. Has awesome art for the home as well. Does community events every couple months across the street from the siamese dreams. The event is called art in the park. Highly recommend for something affordable and fun for kiddos to do and if your looking for that piece of art no one else has.

Karen: Carthage Lake is a beautiful lake on the western edge of Carthage, IL. At the entrance to the area, near Hwy. 136, is Jaycee Park with a kids play area, shelter houses for group gatherings, and seasonal restrooms. The Carthage Pool is across the park road. A crushed limestone path is great for walking with challenging hills. The 9-hole Carthage Golf Course is accessed from the lake road as well.

Robert Wagner: Is a WOMAN smarter than a MAN? A hidden GEM. Dr. ALICE KIBBE was a woman WAY before her time. If your an Illinois history buff or a rock hound this is the place for you. Small but mighty. This place has a lot of interesting tid bits about forgottonia.

Maimi Boucher: Beautiful space. Camped here and enjoyed the sights. Raccoons visited the first night at dusk and stole some raw jalapeno burgers, but once we realized what was happening we were able to better secure our food. They did stick around all night that first night, trying to get into anything. But our second and third nights were mostly raccoon free.

Sue Dildine: Very clean. I take my dog here frequently. There are many different areas, with picnic areas, playgrounds, fishing docks, and campgrounds. The forested areas are well maintained. The best part is its never crowded!
