Alicia Arroyo: We go a few times every year. The kids absolutely love this! I’ve been taking my daughter since she was the age of two and she is seven now. I would say this is perfect for a two hour visit. Good for ages toddler to about 10 years old. It gets better every year. My kids were excited to see the mountain lions. It was a nice addition to the zoo. Also the reptile room is a nice improvement over the past few years. After the zoo, we always go to the park right outside the zoo. The kids will play there for another hour or so. We also tried to do the train ride and the carousel most visits.

T RS: On contrary to the expectations, the lakeshore adjacent to the park, didnt seem to be active at the time of our visit, on a national holiday! A small walking trail, benches and a Pavilion but mostly covered with ducks and their reliefs! Maintenance could be better ! The memorial for the 9/11 twin tower is very patriotic and commendable. Kudos to the artist! The private boating activities were kind of busy ! The Ambitheater seemed impressive though !

Zombro Jeremy: I just moved to South Shores and this place is right down the street! The trails are clean, well kept, and there are maps of the trails. There is a HUGE 5 mile or so loop, but its kind of dissected into a few small ones in case you want to cut it short. There is also a creek that runs through and you may have to backtrack from time to time, or take off the socks and shoes and go for it! Perfect place to relax and just be in nature, it was an immediate favorite and Ive already made it a daily go to, weather permitting. Peanutbutler80 tiktok

Emily Shelton: I went to the Spring Festival 2025. A GREAT place to enjoy history at its finest. They even had someone drive a 1945 John Deere Slant Dash Model A, 50 miles to get to the show. She also drove it in the Parade Of Power both days. Then she drove it 12 miles to Nilwood a week later for the 20 mile tractor drive. All on bad tires. That is faith in her machine. I personally enjoyed the sawmill but the broom maker was awesome too. And the blacksmith shop is so authentic. Even to the real back country church on the grounds that held service on Sunday and Hymn Sings both days. It was just a perfect show. I hope to attend the Fall Festival later on.
