1 /5 G R: Where do I start. Honestly I am shocked they are still in business. Years ago my wife and I went to Boatman not knowing that he has the nickname the “root canal king”.
First time I went. I was told I needed three root canals. I trusted him. Had them done. Even with both my wife and I having the best dental insurance, I had to pay a ton of money out of pocket. Later found out they were billing both our insurances for the same work and billing me too. Their pricing was three times as much as everyone else.
One of the crowns he installed was ground down so much that it had the gold underlayment showing through. As soon as I got in my car I saw it and went back in. Boatman’s daughter was rudely arguing with me that because it was a molar tooth this is normal. No way this was normal. After 15 minutes of back and forth, Boatman got involved and ordered a new one.
I didn’t know any better and went back a second time. Told me I needed three more root canals. This time I declined and went to another dentist. I had exrays done by the second dentist and told nothing was wrong with any of my teeth!!!
My wife has the same experience with shoddy work and extremely high pricing. She also was tried to be sold multiple root canals that were not needed.
We stopped going. An ex employee told us that he even hired a company to do great reviews to cover up the bad ones.
I would strongly recommend you get a second opinion on any work if you don’t trust the real reviews. I would also look at what you are being charged and what is being billed to your insurance.
