I called asking potentially for some information for some help with something and before I can even get the full sentence out of my mouth the women on the phone says nope cant help not today. Ive never been talked to this way from any church and was very disappointed

Alice T: I went to them for some help and spoke with the priest (who was in the hospital at the time) and he referred me to St. Vincent de Paul. They called but not for a very long time later. And I was informed they had no money to help me. I went to mass there last weekend, and the priest gave a talk that they had raised so much money, that they can build a kitchen now. Yet I was denied help on the basis of money. I guess new Kitchens are more important than a Catholic sister in need. Also very odd the lady who called me from the Church refused to give me her name. I found that to be most unfriendly and weird! Unwelcomed and also not helped and without that help Ive been quite sick too. Jesus never said to build kitchens but abandon the poor. Hebrews 13:2. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing ** I had just tried to return to the Church after some time away. I feel the Church doesnt care about me.
