FLASHBACK - Galena (IL)

5 /5 David Rose: Yesterday was only second time in over 15 years (actually, ever) that Ive visited Galena, and I wasnt overly impressed with the shops there until I stepped into Flashback. WAAAY COOOOOL!! Being a child of the 60s, a lot of the items displayed resonated big time with me. Rock n Roll, TV shows, cartoons, just pop culture stuff in general from the 70s through the 90s, and things I didnt even know existed! I picked up a couple refrigerator magnets - Seinfelds Serenity Now and a David Bowie, and dyall remember the hotel key fobs from back in the day? They have Monks Cafe from Seinfeld, Central Perk from Friends, the Drunken Clam from Family Guy, (with the actual fictional addresses on the fobs), and the one I picked. Ya gotta check them out...

2 /5 Kristina Candlish: The smell of the store was so pungent and unattractive, I had to leave shortly after walking in. The few items I saw were appealing, but I could stay. I hope it was just me, but I couldnt shop here.

5 /5 Todd: Cute, kitschy store with a wide range of nostalgic items. They have lunch boxes, band T-shirts and a wall full of celebrity candles.

1 /5 Terry Dorothy: My wife and I make a yearly trip to Galena and this is one of the stores we spend money at, however on Monday Oct 14 we went into the shop and were told they were closing in 3 minutes and the girl behind the counter was rude. We were buying gifts for our older children, we spent our $100 elsewhere. Apparently a $100 sale is not enough to be nice or welcoming. Won’t bother shopping there again, plenty of other stores in Galena

5 /5 Pauline Halm: I was in Galena with four friends last weekend. We discovered Paradox and had the best time. We tried on clothes and gave each other advice. The sales staff was wonderful, helpful without being pushy. I bought a dress and jewelry to wear with it. Be sure to check it out ladies. You wont regret it.
