5 /5 KayLee Malone: I went into Maurices today after being out of the country for a few years. I needed a new wardrobe and have been looking forward to the outstanding Maurices treatment of being greeted, and assisted with the latest fashion since I left the states. That was far from the experience I had today. I was offered a room half way through my shopping trip, they did not even write my name on the door and the lock was broken so people kept trying to come in. No one offered to help me with sizes, clothing exchanges or anything. I walked around with $400 worth of clothes in my arm and no one offered to take them to the front for me until I was ready to check out. There was literally 2 other customers in the store the whole time and 3 staff members. I finally laid my pile on the counter and continued to shop without any assistance. When I went to check out I politely let the cashier know I was a bit disappointed that my expectations were not met. She carelessly apologized and continued to ring up my apparel. I left and found I had items that qualified for the buy one get one half off deal and she never even mentioned it. The cashier use to see that and let me know so I could go and get more items to qualify for the BOGO deals. The experience I had was very far from the Maurices standards however I did find a lot of clothes that will hold me over until my next trip thus me giving it more than 1 star.
Edit with update:
Since my visit and a submission of my experience to the Maurices website, I have been contacted by many levels and they have each apologized and have taken steps to assure this will not happen again. Great customer service from the District manager and from corporate. I will continue to love Maurices as much as always.
