The Galesburg Congregational church is stunning. inside and out.

Mark E Staggs Traditional service at 10:30am. Contemporary service at 9am. Coffee in between. I usher traditional every 3 months. Organ/piano/hymnal. Usually attend Contemporary - drums, guitar, vocals/some songs you hear on the radio.

Bob Costin Was my childhood church. Been 25+ years since been there. But I went in there last week to see it. And my Aunt was Sunday school teacher there. So went to see the old place and see it again. They doing alot of really nice things for the community now and very positive place!

john shea After trying different churches we settled on Ascent. It has a dynamic young Pastor, Pastor Wingo, who teaches the word of God by the Scriptures. I kind of relate him to a young Dr. David Jeremiah, because he really keeps the sermons interesting, interjecting current and family ties related to the subject. He, and the associate Pastor, do a tremendous job, and teach the Bible. Although the church is in a temporary location they just acquired property for building a brand new beautiful church!! I know they would love to have you be a part of it.....

David & Molly Kistner We really enjoyed the Mass. The pastor Fr. Stirniman had a very good homily. It is a friendly and welcoming congregation too. We will be back the next time we visit Galesburg.

Alexander Estrada This has always been the church I went to and it is so good! For kids it has a whole gym, gaming room, basement area for very young kids, middle/high school students go right above it. The people there are nice and every Halloween they host trunk or treat for people who arent even part of the church. There is an area for 1-3 year olds and 2 pairs of water fountains and restrooms. Every summer there is faith bible camp for people in 3rd grade - 12th grade (might be wrong about the ages because last time I was in the camp was in 2018). They do everything a normal church does and more. If anyone is considering going there then you wont be disappointed (unless you just dont like Christianity and in that case why are you going there?) 100% recommended to anyone who wants to change churches or go to a church for the first time.

R. U. Lost 2 A beautiful older church. I also enjoyed the statue pairing. It was a reminder of the importance of seeing things from new perspectives and the need to look beyond our first impressions.

Joyce Juergens They always make you feel like family. The music is the best part of the worship service. Sermons are helpful to daily lives.

Dean Wirebaugh I live in the neighbourhood and this church is excessively annoying. Everyday from 8 AM to 8 PM they have a speaker system which chimes in awfully pitched bells EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES! It’s completely excessive, if you live within a block of this church you probably don’t sleep in ever because of this rude audible trespassing. If my neighbour was doing this I would file a noise complaint but I’ve been told that I cannot do that because it is a church. Turn down the volume of your “bells”. If you don’t live near here just imagine you have an alarm on your phone set to go off every 15 minutes that you cannot turn off and can be heard from everywhere in your home. It’s ridiculous. To make it worse, at noon it plays random hymns for 15 minutes and on Sundays it plays the hymns at 10 and noon. I hope the leadership of this church has a mosque move into their neighbourhood so that they can experience this annoyance to some degree. Religious freedom is cool, but turn it down. I am deliberately never going to attend your church because of this
