Aaron Smock This collage was great, and as a first-time collage student, this was a great first choice. The teachers are nice, there is so much to do for students, and many events are held here! I love the place!

Roger Slightom LLCC continues to be a great place not only as a two year community college but also in providing and/or hosting activities for the whole community. I grew up hearing a lot of jokes about it. Im sure "junior" colleges everywhere get discounted by being a "starter-college" with minimal acceptance standards. Im happy to see that its reputation has even changed the mindset of the high school age cohort. They talk about it with respect as a great option. So much has been added, structurally and academically. I really cant promote and thank them enough for all they have given me and my family throughout the years. That little school out on the prairie is all grown up.

Jake K I’ve been in Springfield, IL going on two years now and let me start off by saying I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT 186 due to the staff. The school never has its ducks in a row. My sister and brother both go to this school. I went to PAYSON IL. PAYSON IL WAS A MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE. Also, kids cussing up and down the track meet. The disrespect that I see is allowed here is very unfortunate and I feel bad for the kids at the end of the day.The kids aren’t getting developed into young adults, they’re getting developed into going in the worst wrong direction ever possible and it’s AWFUL. My brother has also been waiting for license, did everything and got A’s on the classes. The rude girl Jennifer that works with sending off drivers certification should be canned. I’m moving soon and my social media pages and TikTok will continue pushing for the advice of kids to never attempt to get a horrible education at district #186 Thank Jacob Koehler

Kim Leistner I am a proud District 186 alumni as well as my parents and my siblings. We all had a wonderful journey from elementary through high school (Go Springfield High Senators!) with talented teachers who care about the students and provided the educational resources for all of us to excel. My daughters also attend 186, and my oldest will graduate from Springfield High next May. Im proud of the hard work our public school district has carried on for generations! Thank you to all who make things happen every day for our kids and our community.

Efin Barbwedy Instead of easily helping us they got snippy and told us to transfer schools. I expected nothing less from district 186 after eight frustrating years of enrollment.

Alison Haacke The Goddard School and their staff are exceptional! They treat my child and family like their own. We love to see photos of our daughter during the day working on her developmental milestones. Our little girl is so happy and well cared for! We couldn’t be more pleased with our decision.

Andrew Fonck Love this place. My oldest child went here for about 4 years and we now have our youngest enrolled. The school and the grounds itself is excellent as well as the staff. I believe this is a great place for kids to get proper social interaction, early exposure to a learning environment, great nutritious food and staff that really seems to care. The school is also very good with communication, which I did not realize how great and at-ease that can make you feel regarding your childrens well being. Just knowing that your concerns, if there ever are any, are heard and remedied has been wonderful. Highly recommend.

Emma Schaefer Please, please do not send your or anyone else’s kid to this place. My son was in two different houses in 32 days and when I came to see him he was covered in cuts and bruises that were never reported to me, so I brought him back home. The staff would not put him on scheduled zoom calls while he was there and they wouldn’t answer the phone when I called. The place was cold and dirty. To be fair, the school teacher did communicate with me and sent photos, but the residential program was medieval to say the least, because I have no other words to describe my shock and horror with what I have seen and what they put my son through. I have reported my son’s injuries to the police and they have alerted DCFS and ISBE. If they don’t close the residential part of this institution, it most likely means someone has been either bribed or scared into letting it stay open. No child deserves to be put in this institution, so please warn everyone you know and spread the word. Thank you.

Evan Mazahreh Residential staff if horrible. They constantly beat my brother with no repercussions. No incident reports. The only time we hear anything is if the school nurse reports an injury. Edit: There has been 3 more incidents involving my brother and people at his home and on the bus. These people are horrible.

Kylea Do NOT send your special needs or autistic child here. They continuously dismiss me trying to advocate for my son and they brush his needs off. Not a good school just unprofessional and neglectful.

Anna Belyaeva I am so surprised to see low ratings of this learning center. Originally, I was uncomfortable sending my child there because of very low scores for the center. I talked to my friend and found out that this place was great. My child attended it for two years and we have nothing to complain about, only words of great gratitude for teachers and office stuff.

Mandi Idnam The teachers are fantastic, the office staff seriously lacks with communication and knowledge. Any questions I have I received "i dont know" and these are some pretty basic questions.. The principal created a discussion group but disabled comments so that only she can write but she wont even do that. There was an issue with phone lines and no one bothered to spread this information, not through auto text, email, nada.. But they sure did a few hours later to remind everyone of fundraiser money that was due, while the phone lines were still having problems!! Office staff expects you to know everything as a first timer, better school system in the southside of Chicago. Not impressed other than the teachers being phenomenal.

Ashley N Claims they love god but teach their students to be bullies! Multiple schools have complained about their basketball players and are starting to not want to play against them. Their players will cuss your kids out and then find YOUR PLAYERS social media trying to start problems with them. The school, students, and parents do not take value in their student/athlete handbook. Will be emailing the school as well. GOD DONT LIKE UGLY!!!! So disappointed in this school. I can only imagine the amount of bullying that goes on in that school with students being allowed to behave in that manner!

Chris Butler Our family loves Christ the King School! The school is a vibrant faith-based, disciplined learning environment where students can learn to not only excel but also discover what their special gifts are and how they can help others. From the wonderful pre-school program through 8th grade, the dedicated faculty, assistants, and school staff are focused on the students emotional, relational and spiritual well-being. We are very pleased with the communication that occurs between parents and teachers, and from the school in general. The school facilities and equipment are kept in excellent condition and technology is utilized in a positive manner. There is an array of extra curricular sports and academic opportunities, and support for working parents is excellent, with before and after-school programs that help families in todays world. The class size is excellent and the overall environment is one of caring and respect.

Justyce Goleash My autistic daughter was assaulted at school. During pick up they lied and said she was crying because she was told no. When we got home I saw half of her tooth missing. All 4 teachers lied and told police she fell. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE

Salty Jellybeans I havent been since 1998 when I lived there but Ill NEVER forget the absolute inherent beauty of this best kept little secret of a park. The bell tower that played amazing beauty that rang for miles that just made you stop whatever you were doing to listen. Walking, swimming and a fabulous butterfly house. What more could anyone ask for other than an absolute oasis in the middle of a tree lined city center

Natasha Hurley Terrible experience at this preschool. They are not educated and experienced enough to deal with kids with behavior disorders. If your child is perfect by all means take them here otherwise youll be dealing with a nightmare. More schools need to be better prepared to deal with these types of kids. Not every child is a perfect angel. Some are struggling with circumstances outside of their control.
