Mrs Superman: Update we have been coming for awhile now. We check to make sure what time they close to try and not have that issue again. I spoke with staff about the incident and they apologized. We havent had any issues since our first day. I think the reason they are so pushy is that they arent allowed to stay very long but have to have the place clean when people are there that would make it difficult. Basically sounds like an issue with not giving working people the time they need and probably not wanting to spend the money to staff them. One thing about this location that irritates me still to this day is they dont allow people to come in from the back entrance so we have to go all the way around. We come here for picnics and for the kids to play in the back. But it makes it more difficult because they arent as coordinated and its not disabled friendly that way. First time coming on a Friday. We came to play in the pool. I have 3 special needs boys. I gave them showers and got them dressed afterwards. We normally go to the other YMCA location A guy came in the room (we go in the family room) and said hello. I said hello back. He was standing by the cleaning stuff. So I thought he was a cleaner. He said we were here past the time that they closed. I told him I wasnt aware. The other locations dont close till 10pm. So I was taken back by that. We were heading to the elevators but the guy kept repeating himself and following us. I told him to stop. That at this point its harassment. He wouldnt stop I told him Im going as fast as possible. That they are special needs. He said that I scared him that hes security. He didnt have a security outfit on. After he kept following me and harassing me and my kids. I told him I could have his job for this. He continued so I took his picture. Ill be talking to someone about this.
Anytime Fitness - Machesney Park
Brenton Rawhoof: Overall a great gym. I go later at night so I am normally the only one there. They have most of the equipment I could want from a gym. That being said, there are one or two pieces of equipment that I hope they get. Also, this location is quite cramped because of the small building size. Dont let those two things keep you from checking it out though!

Bryan Maiman: Kelsey is good people and she has put together a good team. The facilities are top notch and the hours cant be beat, considering you can literally go anytime that works best for you.

Brittany Morhardt: I have been going to CP a couple days a week for a little over a month now and I LOVE IT!! I can’t remember the last time I was excited to go work out but I looooove it there and would go every day if I could. I have had several different instructors and each one has been kind and no class has been exactly the same. Facility and equipment are clean. 10/10 *chefs kiss*
Northern Illinois Combat Club a& Fitness - Machesney Park
Daniel Calderson: I moved to Machesney Park for the summer this year with my family and found this gem. Not only are the facilities great - between the open mats and weight training, but the coaching staff is phenomenal. Coach Gus (an active fighter) always motivating and focused. He always knows how to push the students and I could not be more grateful for the time with him albeit limited due to my short stint in the area. Coach Pat (a boxing hall of famer) was the same. Always encouraging me to do more. Always motivating us even when not working with him directly. The coaches see your strengths and know how to push you beyond. My only regret is not having spent more time with them. I look forward to dropping in when visiting in the future. Cheers!

Derek encinas: In January, I was really needing a kick in the butt with something new to shake things up. Little did I know, Id find something like MaxP. I love all the workouts every week and I love how much everyone supports each other. One of the best parts of MaxP is having a group of people to cheer you on when you feel like you cant keep going. Highly recommend!
Pec Summit Fitness - Pecatonica
Tom Swanson: Nice, smaller gym. Visited for just 1 day while traveling. All the basic machines plus plenty of free weights. Clean and friendly with cheap daily rates.
