Grundy Bank - Morris (IL)

1 /5 Kirk Zawrazky: Go to a bank that is customer friendly. Grundy Bank only cares about squeezing money out of you. They charge a "paper statement fee" of $3. Had this account for many years. Now suddenly there is an extra fee. I told them to email, because I didnt want electronic banking. Told me too bad, sign up for electronic banking. BTW, you have come in and sign up for electronic banking. So you want everyone to be electronic but I have to make a trip in. I tried to move money into a CD, again have to come in and do that. I didnt have activity on the account for a year, they charge an "dormant fee" of $5! I have a credit union account which is also "dormant" (savings account), they never change a fee rather they reward me with interest. I will be changing banks to one who appreciates loyalty.

1 /5 Lonnie: Do your banking somewhere else! This bank will lie straight to your face. Holly for their online banking will tell you one thing one day and backtrack and try to lie the next. I will 100% be moving my 3 accounts from this bank. You cant even trust a small town bank anymore! Update 2025 Holly is is trashy with a bad attitude!!

4 /5 Mo PC: I dont think theres an existing bank that everyone loves; just like theres no DMV everyone loves. After using banks for a few decades I can say with certainty that Grundy is the best option around. Very pleasant staff that knows how to do their jobs. Annoyances will always exist, but they run a tight ship.
