1 /5 Chris McCanse: I went to the emergency room twice in the last week for extreme shortness of breath. The first time the doctor wanted to admit me but because of a very bad experience in another hospital I was to scared to stay. The doctor and I talked about it and he was understanding so I cant say anything bad about that night. The second time the emergency staff was fantastic. They were concerned, helpful, friendly and informative. But after being in there for 6 hours were still unable to figure out whats going on. So the nurse talked me into being admitted for further testing and treatment. After going upstairs and meeting the doctor I strongly regretted my decision to stay. She was not going to do any more testing and was just going to keep me for light observation. I wasnt going to be hooked up to any monitors or anything and the only treatment she ordered was for me to take the same meds as I do at home. The lady from registration said that because of only being for light observation insure may not cover as much. Im on disability and on a fairly tight budget so another big made me nervous. I talked to the to the doctor about it and she said I should stay. I told her since the only thing they were going to do i can do at home and the money issue just just kept telling me to stay. I then told her Im not going t9 stay and am willing to sign a AMA and then she told me if I leave and start to feel worse not to come back to that hospital because I will be refused treatment because I left AMA. I told her she can count on that because I didnt want to be treated by someone like her. She has no business around people much less as a doctor.

2 /5 Zachary Stanley: So far not seeing much improvement in healthcare. Maybe it’s just all over America that’s it’s all declining but don’t seem they care much anymore it’s in and out lack of testing and what can we do to not help. Physical therapy to er is just off. Too much change and not enough resources or new hires I’m Fed up.!! Updated. Do doctors even remember patients or just want you in and out and central scheduling is horrible.!!!

4 /5 Nathan: Update 5/27/25 - Patient financial services reached out to me to discuss this case. There were some mistakes made and upon further review determined that the original dispute was never formally closed. Financial services made good on the original discussions from 2023 and are resolving the issue and mailing a copy of the updated invoice with updated balance. What this shows to me is that the organization does take patient satisfaction seriously. It did take multiple conversations with several different people across many months and several escalations, but ultimately the persistence resulted in proper resolution and I thank the team for their support in seeing it through. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4. My appreciation to this resolution cannot be understated. Original Review (1 star): I received Emergency service in July of 2023 from KSB. This service required a rabies vaccine and subsequent follow up vaccines for the series. I was told I would pay for the initial visit and vaccine and the follow up (3 shots) would be included as part of the first bill and I would not be billed for the subsequent visits. I paid the initial bill immediately then was billed for the 3 additional shots by KSB and I disputed these. In that dispute I received confirmation I would not be responsible for the bills and would not receive follow up bills. This remained true until 2025. Once OSF took over in January 2025, I received those bills again. I disputed the bills and nothing was done. I was given 2 verbal commitments from the organization (the ED Doctor and the billing department that called back from my initial dispute) that I would not be responsible for those bills and now I am being required to pay or be taken up through claims.

1 /5 Shawn Payne: I went in for an uncomfortable and painful feeling on the left side of my chest. The doctor asked 1 question, "whats up?" I gave him the nutshell assuming more specific questions were soon to follow. But, nope. I was not asked another question by him. He didnt even listen to my chest or breathing with his stethoscope. But he did come back in the room approximately 2 hrs later. While he was gone he figured I had burning in my esophagus and it had been going on for 2 months!!! This was amazing!! Especially when I have not 1 issue with my esophagus. And never lead anyone to believe such. And I know, I didnt go to med school. But last I checked, my esophagus was located near the center line of your chest, going in a vertical direction. Simply the facts of the situation

1 /5 Joey: Went there for nausea related issues..key word there is NAUSEA. I explain everything, they have me pay a 300 dollar co pay and to get a covid test which was negative. They prescribed me "prednisone" which is not used for nausea its for asthma. And they prescribes me "Ketorolac" which is a pain med that you take after you have surgery. How in the hell am I supposed to take these? It seems very dangerous. And when you try to get an answer, all they say is oh we cant speak on that, youre more than welcome to not take the medication. I came there cause I was sick! Not to mention, the whole time I was in the ER from when I arrived i was not given anything for discomfort. I was left in the room pretty much up until I left and thats when they gave me some Tylenol. Almost 3 hours in there. I was also told they were going to do blood work and a scan...those never happened either.
