1 /5 thorough Kas: I had a very disappointing experience at the state st Planet Fitness branch today, primarily due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the staff and management.
Upon my initial arrival, an employee checked me in. Shortly after, I stepped out briefly to retrieve my water bottle and was checked in a second time by the same employee for a massage chair session, showing multiple interactions where my presence was clearly noted.
Later, I walked back into the facility to use the restroom, assuming there was no need for a third check-in given the previous interactions and short time frame. To my surprise, the employee rudely questioned if I had checked in. When I pointed out our numerous prior interactions, the employees attitude remained consistently unprofessional. The facility was busy
Furthermore, when the manager on duty (a Black manager) was involved, they also displayed an off-putting, sarcastic demeanor. The entire experience suggests a significant lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills among the team at this location. A gym that promotes a "judgment free zone" should ensure its staff embodies those values.
I hope management addresses these serious customer service issues.
