2 /5 Amanda Hartwig: My server, Tammy, was great! She really tried hard for me. I told her I was a bariatric patient and could not eat those huge meals and asked to order from the kids menu. Tammy said yes. Great! I ordered a grilled cheese and cup of chili (they were out of chili, so I got potato soup). Tammy came back to the table to tell me she couldn’t let me do the kids menu, she would have to charge me for the lunch version of my order. Hmmm, ok. She said it was because the owners daughter was there, and she wouldn’t let her do it. What if I had a food allergy or was asking about diabetic options or had another dietary restriction? Would they ignore that? I’ve worked hard to lose 100 lbs. I try hard to stick to my diet or make choices that are smaller versions of what I used to eat. Most restaurants are really good about honoring my request — this is the first time I was told no. I guess we won’t be back. Sorry, Tammy! You were great, but your owner sucks.
