Cafe Grace - Princeton (IL)

4 /5 S M (Sue): My first time dining here and it was for brunch. This is a cute little place that looks like it used to be a house renovated into a restaurant. Theres a small gift shop in the entrance. I chose a small Caesar salad that came with a piece of garlic toast. It was ok nothing special for $7, so Id probably pass on it. I also got the soup of the day which was cream of mushroom, and it was delicious. I would recommend if it was offered again. My SO got the Red Rooster scramble. It didnt look overly appealing but he said it was good. He ordered a Cosmo, and I tried it and it was super good! The server was friendly, and the atmosphere here is cute. I remember the coffee was hot and fresh too. Overall, a good experience, and I would give it another try for breakfast, lunch or dinner if Im ever in the Princeton area again.

5 /5 Laci Michels: I have food pictures but decided to spare you because I forgot to take them until wed half devoured our delicious breakfasts. My husband and I were staying at the Hotel Knox (we were in town for the Summer Concert Series:Dave Matthews Tribute Band) and Id noticed this cute little place as we were coming and going. We didnt have any plans this morning and decided on a leisurely breakfast since it was storming. I looked the Cafe up to see their menu and my decision was made when I saw they had Eggs Benedict (one of my husbands favorites). I had a hard time deciding because there were so many great looking things on the menu. I decided on a Denver Omelette (I traded the green peppers for mushrooms) and did the upcharge to trade my toast for a pancake. My husband loved his benedict. My pancake was exactly how I like them (I dont know how to explain that) and so was my omelette (zero browned egg on outside). The trade for mushrooms really elevated it though because their mushrooms are superb. Even my Diet Pepsi was great (extra crispy). My only critique is that I would have preferred shredded cheese to the American that was in my omelette. Our server was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy. If I lived there Id be a regular! P.S. In case a worker from that day (7/19/25) is reading this ...we were in there when that insane lightning and thunder clap happened that scared everyone half to death. LoL.

5 /5 Ann Marie Taylor-Schmidt: We had a lovely meal with pleasant service. Hubby’s pot roast was tender and falling apart. My soup de jour of shrimp and corn bisque had layered flavors that I enjoyed. Turtle brownie with ice cream tasted like it had just come out of the oven. We felt fortunate to have found it. The building is unassuming and a bit hard to spot from the road. It has historical charm.
