Guacamole Grill - Galesburg (IL)

4 /5 Nick Vasquez: Liked the environment and the surroundings very much. The food was good and the experience was festive! The prices were a little high ut considering their location that is what it is. The restaurant is fine for lunches and just above par for dinner but with a name like Guacamole Grill I was expecting to be blown away! (Hey its a better name then common names or 3 Brothers or Carlos Obriens and such! ) Service from the waitress was perfectly enjoyable and delightful. Speaking of service- the staff deserved so much credit for making a customer very happy as they sang him Happy Birthday- he smiled ear to ear! The only negative thing I have to offer as constructive criticism....out of 3 main dishes- not one single one have GUACAMOLE!!! They had lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes but no guacamole. I called and verified they normally come with it. No biggy.

5 /5 kristin Perez: This place is great depending on what waitor or waitress that you get. Our waitress this time was pretty cool. If it gets busy you better be asking for more chips because youre going to be waiting a while for your food. I will say if you order a margarita youre bound to get messed up in the words of my brother-in-law.lol

3 /5 Emily D: This place came highly recommended. The food quality and quantity was good. The chicken fajitas were of good quality and plentiful. However, had no flavor! Once I doctored them up, they were good though. The al pastor tacos were okay, but also a bit flavorless...as was the guacamole. :( The chips & salsa were really good!! I did make a comment to the server and apparently they have toned down, or eliminated their spices to accommodate clientel. I get it, but extremely bland Mexican food isnt it either. We shouldnt feel the need to add salsa & lime to the guacamole due to lack of flavor, which is what what we did. Please add a bit more flavor to your food, or at least some salt and pepper! Prices are right, and quality for price is on point!

1 /5 Craig Bolts: I sure wish my wife and I could’ve enjoyed a meal here, unfortunately the waitstaff did not notice us and ignored us. We received our chips and salsa but nobody came to take our drink or meal orders. We watched as the servers were checking on the tables around us, even people who had arrived after us had been taken care of before we ever did. The servers kept walking past us. I would not recommend eating here unless you’re looking to be ignored. Poor service. I’d rather go somewhere else.

5 /5 steven drennan: The manager David was most accommodating. He personally verified our party needs and prepared a wonderful fajita-bar with all of the sides and salad. They delivered and helped to set things up. All who ate were so pleased and FULL. The combinations and flavors were authentic. Gracias David!
