5 /5 Puppers Policetti: Tried this place out for the first time recently. Ordered a couple of Al Pastor tacos and a Carne Asada burrito to go. Took a seat off to the side while I waited for my order to be cooked. The interior of Javis, although compact, is very clean and tidy. They have a quaint dining area with several places to sit and eat. After a short wait, I received my food and headed home.
The burrito was great. They used good quality, well-trimmed, and seasoned grilled steak with no gristle or chewy bits. It was also loaded to the gills with cheese, beans, lettuce, sour cream, and tomato. It was a hot, delicious, greasy mess that left me all sweaty and desiring a nap afterward. It was a very drippy and somewhat sloppy burrito, so you should have plenty of napkins and wet wipes on hand. Its probably not an ideal car ride snack or meal.
The Al Pastor tacos were also fantastic. Savory and succulent well-marinated, then grilled pork with fresh and aromatic white onions and cilantro cradled within perfectly dense yet pillowy corn tortillas. Very good tacos. And their salsas were excellent. The red, in particular, packs a very subtle, smokey, and spicy punch.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my first experience. The portions were filling and delicious, the prices seemed fair, and their service is quick and efficient. Ill definitely be returning to try out their other menu items. Come on over and check them out. Cheers, Javis Burritos!
