2 /5 Dave Kumskis: My wife and I were driving through Morris on our way back from Starved Rock and decided to stop here for dinner. The service at the restaurant was great. Waitress and managers were very friendly. Seating was comfortable and the bar area is very nice with a beautiful old wooden bar. The problem is with the food. The meal we had was not very good. My wife had pot roast and I had the meatloaf. The meatloaf was lacking in flavor and was also hard. It was smothered in gravy that seemed like it came from a can. The best thing about the meatloaf plate was the steamed broccoli. Oddly enough, the pot roast plate looked exactly like the meatloaf plate and was equally as bad. The same gross gravy smothered on some type of flavorless meat chunks. I dont like giving bad reviews but strongly feel the food at this place is worthy of one. Go here to watch a game or have some drinks with friends at the cool, old bar. But if you do go, dont get the meatloaf or pot roast.
