2 /5 Jane Chang: A mixed review here- we went on a Saturday for lunch. There were only 2 other couples dining at the time we went. The waiter was super nice and very attentive. We had been wanting to check out this area because it had been a while since it had been renovated with new establishments.
For 3 adults, we ordered calamari to start, mushroom pizza for the table, fettuccine tutto mare and stromboli.
As soon as we were sat, we got a basket of bread- it looked so good but it was quite flavorless and dried up really quickly. I didn’t want to fill up on bread so that was fine, but then the calamari that came out was such a disappointment unfortunately… the description when I just checked said that the calamari is “freshly cut and fried”- what was brought out to us seemed like it had been sitting at the back of a freezer for quite some time with how dried out it was.. luckily the marinara sauce was good so we could drown it in the sauce and get it down especially since it was priced at $15 for 10 pieces (just rings). I’m not sure if we just got a bad batch or something but I could never recommend ordering what came out to us.
The pasta itself was good but I shared it and it was perfect amount because it was quite heavy. Pizza was fine.
I wanted to like this eating experience as the service was so nice and pleasant but I don’t think we’ll be back in the near future.
