Pats BBQ & Catering - Murphysboro (IL)

2 /5 Mikey Mike: Brisket was cooked two days prior and chopped until it looked like ground beef instead of succulent slices of fresh brisket where the juices drip freely. In fact EVERYTHING in the sampler platter was awful. 0/10 never waste my money again unless they start taking their food seriously.

2 /5 Drew Gwins: I do want to say that the staff is very friendly and treated us well. The food was lackluster unfortunately. We ordered the loaded nachos (brisket) and an order of wings with green beans and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was decently good. The green beans were a tad mushy and just not my style. The wings were OK flavorwise but had a lot of sauce and it really overpowered the taste of the meat. The nacos were not the best either. The chips were on the stale side and the brisket may not have been the best topping to pick. This may have been a case of not knowing what to order, but I was disappointed in the combination of price point with quality of product. Hope this is a once off experience.

5 /5 Cameron Haslett: Absolutely delicious! Love the nachos with brisket. The smell of the food is intoxicating. I have yet to make it on a Friday to try out the brisket tacos, but they are on my list. They have great sandwiches and sides as well. The brisket is tender, flavorful, and just pulls apart so easily. If you are local, or visiting wine country, you NEED to try Pats. You will not be disappointed.

5 /5 Karen Choi: Ive been meaning to try pats for awhile and finally stopped by for dinner and it was great! This is a no frills place that has very good bbq. I lived in memphis previously and this is definitely one of the better spots for bbq in the area! We went 30 minutes before closing time so most of the meats were sold out so Ill have to come back soon. I had a pulled pork sandwich platter with mac and cheese and pasta salad and it was delicious! The bbq sauce was spot on and is tangy and not too sweet. My husband enjoyed the vinegar based cole slaw and the potato salad was very good as well. They also do catering and have an extensive catering menu. I highly recommend this restaurant if youre looking for good bbq!
